Next Steps

You are ready for all that God has for you.  Freedom is ahead!

You are not an accident of nature without a purpose. You were created by the God of the universe, and He gave you unique abilities and talents. There is no one else like you. God has a plan for your life, and it’s different from everybody else’s. His love for you is beyond human understanding. Believe this: God loves you.

God can help you realize your purpose and step into everything He has for you. You can have a personal relationship with God, giving thanks for what he has done for you, and asking for help with things you need.

What Now?

Live Your New Life: Leave behind your old ways, and live guided by the new way of life in the Bible.

Easy to say, right? You now have a power in you, God the Holy Spirit, and He is always with you to help you. You will begin to notice how life is much better with Him. Even right now, pause and talk with Him. You may notice you sense His presence. He is your comforter and helper.

Read or listen to the Bible: The Bible is God’s Word, and it is Truth. It contains God's direction for a good life.  Read it and encounter the living God. Invite the Holy Spirit to read it  with you. He will show you things that might otherwise escape you. After all, how often do you have access to the actual author of a book as you read it? With the Bible, you do!

You can get a free Bible on your phone from Many churches will provide you with a free Bible. If you have any trouble getting access to a Bible, email us at, and we will help you.

A good starting place in reading the Bible is the Gospel of Luke.

Go to Church: Yes, it’s important as you experience a new life and get more and more freedom. In church you will be with others who are on the same journey who can help you and who you can also help. You will learn more about your faith walk and experience God in new ways at a church. You will notice you feel much better after church than you did before. God wants you there.

Find a church near you, and start going every Sunday. God made us for community, and the local church is the anchor of your Christian experience.

If you need help finding a church that is a good fit for you, we will help you find one. There are a lot of choices, but God has a certain church for you that you will find and know it is the right church for you. It may take trying a few before you find the one, but God will lead you to it. Ask Him.

Pray: You can right away establish your new relationship with God by  communicating with Him. Spend time with Him every day. Share your thoughts, your hopes, your concerns. Expect God to hear your every word -  and to respond. Speak to God as you would a friend. (That is prayer.)  Realize, He now calls you “friend.” This new life is not about religion; it’s about relationship - with your Creator.

A powerful prayer is to ask God to make himself real to you.

Receive more of the Holy Spirit and power: Receiving Jesus into your life is the most important decision you have ever made -  and there is more power, more help, more of everything good available through the Holy Spirit. He is God in us. You received the Holy Spirit when you accepted Jesus into your life, but there is much more available when you ask God to fill you with more of the Holy Spirit. Daily ask for more of Holy Spirit. This is the secret to a continuous powerful life.

Help Others: Share your story about accepting Jesus. Help those in need. Give to those who have less than you. Pray for those who need prayer.

"Do to others what you would want them to do for you.” (Luke 6:31) You will be blessed when you bless others.

Good things are ahead! May you powerfully experience the presence of God as you step into all that He has for you.
